Tasting Notes

Aroma

Tantalizing hints of fresh cut pear, citrus blossom and a mere suggestion of spice jump out on the bouquet.

Appearance

Pale straw, vivid green youthful hue.

Palate

The palate is soft, appealing, approachable and basically a whole lot of fun, with gentle bubbles and alcohol combining seamlessly, and offering the maximum amount of freshness for a drink early and enjoy style of sparkling wine; a spot on example of Prosecco.

Vinification

Our non-vintage blend is made from fruit generally picked in late February, made with the Charmat method in stainless steel tank.

This is the OG – the one that started the whole crazy, controversial movement towards prosecco in this country. It brings energy, zest, plenty of bubbly attitude and a just-glad-to-be-alive vivacity that can't fail to excite. Flavours are bright in red apple, lemon zest, quince and tart grapefruit, with acidity running bright and pristine. Don't overthink it, just enjoy. Points: 94/100

The sparkling that started the entire Australian prosecco movement, Pucino NV keeps showing the way with both its zest for life and depth of flavour concentration. Citrus blossom perfume is accompanied by lemon zest, quince, apple and grapefruit. Akin to a mouthful of lemon sorbet, the flavours pop with energy and brightness while running deep and long across the palate. A wine to put a smile on your face. Points: 94/100

The pioneer of prosecco in Australia, Dal Zotto keeps pushing the envelope with the style, but the heart and soul remains Pucino NV. Fresh, vibrant, lemony and ready to go, it brings a delightful summery feel to each glass. Lashings of lemon sorbet aromas with fresh-cut apple, white peach and wildflower/spring blossom. Real zest and lip-smacking sherbety texture to taste with a fine, creamy texture. A top aperitif style.  Points: 93/100

Pucino sits in an ever-growing prosecco family tree at Dal Zotto. It’s the one that started the whole crazy prosecco movement and remains possibly the most approachable and recognisable. True to form, this rises with clean, crisp, bright fruits in citrus, apple and pear. Chalky texture on the palate combined with a touch of lemon drop sweetness really works the taste buds. Zesty, tangy and hard to put down. Jeni Port Points: 92/100

Light and elegant, no overt sweetness, red apples in a sunset of ripe pear. Fresh as a dandelion. For all its lightness it still manages to ring confidently out through the finish. (Campbell Mattinson) Points: 91/100

Attractive mineral and rosewater/floral notes with a little spice and confectionary/vanilla on the nose; floral characters also on the palate along with some nice apple and lemon/citrus notes at the finish; with a good mousse, a pleasant, well-made wine.

A fresh, apple and pear nose with some hints of lemon, too. The palate has a fresh, brisk and attractively crisp feel. Plenty of flavor and plenty of freshness. Drink now. Points: 91/100

Clean, fresh and fruity, this is a prosecco that celebrates the cool definition of the King Valley in accurate flavours of nashi pear, lime and fennel, with balanced dosage and crunchy fruit appeal. Points: 90/100
