Tightly wound and mineral-driven with aromas of lime zest, green apples, jasmine, wet slate and lemon curd. The palate is light-bodied with razor-sharp acidity and a dry, linear mouthfeel. The finish has a saline, citrus-edged snap. Pure, focused and refreshing. Drink or hold. Points: 93/100
Another example of just how impressive the Rieslings from Frankland River are. The colour here is a very weak lemon. The nose is beautifully aromatic with citrus, lemon curd, oystershell notes, spices, florals and a hint of beeswax, but it is not long before it is the citrus which is very much to the fore. There is medium to good length here with juicy acidity, balance and a delightfully lingering finish. So much to like here, enjoy it over the next ten to twelve years, longer if you have the patience and the cellar. Points: 94/100
