Tasting Notes

Aroma

Displays lovely mulberry, mocha and spicy notes.

Maturation

12 months in barrel.

Palate

The palate is luscious with cherry and plum flavours, supported by smooth tannins.

Vinification

The grapes where harvested during the cool of the night to ensure quality was maintained. A cool fermentation took place in static fermenters and gentle extraction of colour and flavour was achieved over a two week period. After primary ferment the wine was gently pressed off skins to a mix of new and older larger format French oak barrels.

Vintage Notes

The 2021 vintage will result in some outstanding wines. 2021 was a compressed and early vintage, combined with small yields. All parcels retained the perfect balance of freshness, natural acid and tannin ripeness.

    Matured in French oak for 12 months. This is a wine that has been made with early consumption in its make up. Spicy cherry and plum fruits stream into the mouth in satisfying form and there's oak to please oak lovers. From a purist's view, slightly more active tannins would add to the outcome. Points: 91/100
