A testament to greatness, to two great master blenders in particular – Bill Chambers, who sadly passed away in 2023, and his son, Stephen. They capture time in the glass magnificently. It's all here, the seamless melding of great age and youth, of burnt butter, caramel, raisined Christmas pudding, malt, mocha and a distinctive, clean dryness to close. Glossy, silken, supple and never ending. Here's to Bill, the legend ... RIP. 375ml. Points: 99/100

Christmas pudding, malt chocolate, baked fig, coffee, vanilla bean and mocha aromas pervade the senses. The depth here is difficult to fathom. There's magnificent intensity to the palate; caramel, butterscoth, raisin and a citrus rind note travel very long to a stupendous close. Sourced from only the most exceptional material in the Chambers cellar. This solera is said to have been started in the 1890s. A brilliant wine. Points: 96/100

It is believed that Rosewood's third-generation winemaker, Will Chambers, started this solera in the 1890s. Hence, the drinker is paying for a taste of history. It's a divine encounter with immense concentration, intensity of flavour and an expert eye on freshness, too. Devour the dense, baroque-like sweetness of caramel butterscotch, chocolate-covered citrus peel, Saunders malt extract, raisin and toasted-almond rancio flavours that never end. Magical!  375ml. Points: 98/100

This syrupy tincture is, quite simply, one of the world's greatest sweet wines:impossibly profound flavours of espresso, grilled nuts, burnt sugar, dates, malt, and a never-ending finish.
