Campbell Mattinson
The fruit here has a sweet edge but then it’s also herbal, sinewy and long. It’s classically structured, well flavoured and, even as a young wine, inherently complex. Woodsy spice notes – crushed – a lavender note, plenty of herbs and plenty of black cherry, with a dark cedar, smoked tobacco-like character through the finish. Excellent Pinot Noir. Will mature beautifully. Points: 94/100
