Campbell Mattinson
This starts off easy-going and fruit-driven and then turns savoury and structured as it draws towards its close. It will no doubt cellar but I wouldn’t have any hesitation even now. Darker berry flavours, integrated herb notes, whispers of smoky oak, tobacco and a long, cool finish. Everything in alignment and in a good placer. Beneath the fruit there are undergrowth characters, and they’re most beguiling. Points: 93/100
