Baking spice, rose and blackcurrant, perfume too. Ferrous and graphite, very firm, lots of stuffing, and great tannin on a finish. Excellent wine, with a lot more to come. 95+. Points: 95/100

Chewy, gummy syrah, dark fruited, richness and dark berry fruitness, nougat and blackberry jubes with a dusting of white pepper. Tannins finish fine but also come with a stickiness that feels a little irksome in such a deep and sultry red wine. Wide gauged in a way too, primary and bold. Serious feeling, but not quite finding its groove, kinda OTT in a way, and missing some structure, that being said, a lush, lovely mouthful over and over. Points: 92/100
Blueberry and blackberry, cracked black pepper, smooth vanilla cream oak neatly applied, also some candied violet perfume. Medium-bodied, dense, smooth and sooty, a little exotic spice, some more savoury meaty and black olive flavours, ripe dark raspberry, fine mesh of tannin, lush and flavoursome, dark chocolate bitterness and spice on a long grainy tannin finish, albeit a little rugged in the tannin department to close. Luxurious. Points: 93/100
