Savoury perfume of dried rose petals, charcuterie, smoky paprika, red cherry juice and cranberry. Plusher than expected in the palate, juicy, fresh-edged with plummy fruit, blueberry lift and dried herbs, gamey characters and trails of dried olive in silty tannin. Lovely stuff here, pure and structured. Points: 93/100
Soft and lightly juicy, a light savouriness in plummy fruit, blackberries, sweetish fruit albeit finishes cool and alpine in a way. Delicious to drink, easy to drink, a compelling malbec that sits at a brighter end of the scale but with all the expected pillowy niceness of the variety. Oh yeah. And those silky tannins come in late for a fine, gently puckering thing to close. It’s a really lovely wine. Points: 93/100
