Jeni Port
This is just how good Grampians riesling can get. Such an underrated star of the region, it can reach some extraordinary levels of complexity, as noted here from the first sniff and taste. Dry and exotic, boasting uncommon complexity in one so young in jasmine, Granny Smith apple, quince, citrus, beeswax, gentle herbal spice in Thai basil and a whisper of white pepper. All combine on a palate that is crunchy, crisp, dry and well composed. Memorable. Points: 96/100
