Dave Brookes
A keenly priced shiraz that is sourced from an amalgam of Barossan parishes – Bethany, Ebenezer, Greenock, Krondorf, Flaxman Valley and Moculta (60/40% Eden Valley/Barossa Valley). Bright crimson with a wash of plum and black cherry fruits, thick with spice and hints of dried herbs, dark chocolate, licorice, gentle wood spice and earth. It retains a lightness of form and bright energy despite its considerable fruit depth, and that all makes for a solid (and delicious) bistro-style wine. Points: 92/100
