white flowers, which flow through to the palate.
Palate
That acid backbone
ensures that it has terrific length; it lingers and echoes. This is
especially the case from the cool 2023 vintage, which saw the latest
picking date recorded since we first made the 25GR.
Vinification
It’s the acidity which makes it perfect for this delicately sweet,
perfumed, low-ish alcohol, downright delicious Riesling. Some
natural grape sugar is retained when we stop the fermentation by
chilling, and this gives it beautiful mouthfeel and depth; but it’s the
acid which keeps it dry and crisp on the finish.
Food Matching
Team it with Thai or Vietnamese food (it can handle a touch of
chili!), or simply a sunny afternoon and a good view.
