Tasting Notes

Vinification

Destemmed grapes ferment in vats during 3 to 4 weeks. Aging takes place in oak barrels produced by our cooperage Cadus during 18 months.

Region Notes

Gevrey Chambertin is the most northern of the great communes of the Cte de Nuits. There are 26 Premiers Crus and 8 Grands Crus. Half of the Premiers Crus of Gevrey lie on the Grands Crus east facing slope ; the other half occupy a steep, southeast facing slope to the north, with calcareous clay soils.

    Though well-marked by toasty oak, this red has a gracefulness about it, revealing aromas of black cherry and black pepper, followed by notes of black cherry, earth, oak spice and licorice. It combines grace and intensity, with fine harmony and a lingering aftertaste of fruit, spice and earth. Best from 2025 through 2045. Points: 95/100
