Golden delicious apples mix with lemon curd and honeycomb aromas. There's a spicy French oak influence. The richly styled palate is dripping with flavour. Honeysuckle, cream and vanilla flavours dominate. This is an ode to a Bordeaux Blanc and will age nicely. Only hedonists should buy it. Points: 93/100

Full malolactic fermentation,  7% new oak for nine months. Very inviting on the nose thanks to crème brulee creaminess, artisan candied fruit, vanilla bean and slight honeysuckle musk. The perfumed oak is in abundance, with a delicate toast, charry fringes and plenty of prettiness. Following on, the palate is unctuous and has a ripe, almost lolly shop fruit sweetness paired with the vanillin oak, but at no point does it reach into cloying territory thanks to fresh acidity and a balanced composition. Rounded custard apple, peach blossom and a hint of feijoa. Kefir lime lifts through peaches and cream, with echoes of dried sage and lemon balm wax. A complex mid-weight wine, whose acidity hums along to the tune of the fruit and tannins. The quality of fruit shows in the length on the palate and fantastic concentration of flavour. The epitome of loveliness. Points: 95/100

Sauvignon blanc. On song with its flavours and texture; it’s really a classy wine. A beautiful balance of white stone fruit, citrus and gooseberries with a smidge of feijoa. The textural palate steals the show with its creamed honey lees and subtle oak with a slight phenolic tug adding extra depth. Love this wine. Points: 95/100

This is a wine which takes us into a different realm of Sauvignon Blanc, with whole bunch pressing, fermentation in stainless steel tanks before transfer to oak. 225 litre French oak barriques, 7% new, with nine months maturation. The nose offers florals and seabreeze notes, a real oyster shell character to be found here. A minerally backing with notes of white peaches and grapefruits, there is also a seductive and yet slightly crunchy texture with very good length and good complexity. Fine balance and some real energy right through the length of the wine. A good future ahead, at least four to six years. Points: 93/100

Here’s an interesting wine, and a different expression of Sauvignon compared with your usual Margaret River styles. It’s all lime and lemon curd, honey and florals, fennel fronds, and gingersnap biscuits. It’s soft and creamy, a suggestion of butterscotch pudding and banana, but with balanced limey acidity, fine chalk dust texture, and a juicy and flavoursome finish of cool composure and fine length. Really like this. A mellifluous expression of Sauvignon and so nicely done. Points: 94/100
