There's an energy here, a forewarning, perhaps, that one glass won't do. White nectarine, lime zest, cracked wheat, Granny Smith apple and orchard florals. Some grapefruit pithiness, too. The acidity, racy, a live wire woven through the fruit, but there's ease to be had and a glass to refill. Points: 93/100

Pale lemon colour. Lemon curd and sweet pastry aromas. The palate has good density at its core, apple and tropical fruits with a combination of bakery and nutty savoury notes. Good length on the back of a fine acid line, ensuring a clean and crisp finish. Points: 90/100

This shows so much poise and flashy minerality. Restrained aromas of grilled lemons, struck match, crushed stones, grapefruit, lime leaves and citrus blossoms. The palate is pure and refined, with generous fruit intensity supported by a textural mouthfeel and bright acidity. Good value. Drink or hold. Screw cap. Points: 95/100

Light-golden colour, nice looks. Honeydew melon, a touch of almond, green mango, quince and preserved lemon with a tickle of saline minerality through the finish. A wine that pushes its complexity credentials under the radar, but it’s there and a good authority. This delivers on its promise well. A pleasing, easy drinking and delicious chardy. Points: 93/100
