This is a sappy and textural pinot noir, a bit of coffee and mocha overlaid a bit distracting for dark cherry, cola, cranberry and sarsaparilla characters, but the main gist is of a grippy, savoury red wine that delivers on its promise of the variety. You can lay back and settle into a big glass and watch something unfurl with primary fruit, undergrowth and truffle notes, sweet spice, the woody bits in there too. It works out mellow and satisfying. You’d be pleasing by your investment here. Points: 93/100
