A pithy little rosé, a blend of 52% mataro and 48% grenache that shows sprightly raspberry, redcurrant, watermelon and red apple tones along with hints of soft spice, red berry cream, stone, nougat, wildflowers and redcurrant jelly. Dry with just a tinge of dried herbs, it shows a fine, briny acid drive and a swell of red fruits on the finish. Points: 90/100

Mataro and Grenache. So far, these 2023 vintage wines from Whistler seem to have gone up a notch in quality. Strawberry, raspberry, slight orange peel. It’s juicy, with red fruit, a sort of creamy yoghourt richness, light dusty texture, and a finish of good length, with a dusting of white pepper. Very nice. Points: 94/100
