Winemakers Comments

We believe the most critical elements of sparkling wine are distinctive styles, consistently produced which enables consumers to develop a deep understanding and trust in our brand. Multi-Vintage is a story of complexity in our base wines. Across vintages we use four different techniques to hold reserve wines, giving our winemakers more creative freedom, resulting in more expressive wines. Our reserve wine approach preserves freshness and character and provides our winemaking team with the ultimate conditions to deliver our house style. Our Multi-Vintage philosophy is an expression of place, house style and consistency. Blending the best vintages and wine making techniques to build complexity and harmony for outstanding, consistent cuvees each year. Exceptionnelle the epitome of the Clover Hill House style.

Pale-orange color with aromas of grapefruit, salted nuts, sliced oranges, Turkish delight and Asian spices. The textural, rounded palate has finely beaded mousse and great balance between freshness and more oxidative notes, with a phenolic edge and real chalkiness. Composed of 63% chardonnay, 29% pinot noir and 8% pinot meunier. Disgorged May 2024. Drink or hold. Points: 95/100

Light to salmon to rose-gold hue. Strawberry, baked butter pastry and nutmeg spice aromas. Quite full and powerful, a lively bead lifts it well, allowing red apple and spiced brioche notes to ebb and flow while it rolls with vigour to the long finish. Will really sing its best with food. Points: 91/100

A rosé assemblage of 63/29/8% chardonnay/pinot noir/pinot meunier. Aromas of redcurrant and strawberry with hints of rose petal, baklava, crushed shells, fresh brioche, redcurrant paste, grilled hazelnuts and maritime nuance. Some lovely richness and a swell of autolysis tones on the palate with honey-drizzled shortbread. Mouth-filling, red-fruited and stony on the finish. Points: 95/100
