Jeni Port
Bright, blood-red hues glisten when poured. The scent of crushed rose petals, alpine flowers, raspberry, cherry, cranberry and white pepper is striking. This is the delicate side of Nebbiolo, red-fruited and floral, early picked and marked in highish acidity and tannins and intended for a long run in the bottle. Bitter herbs, a shot of amaro, is a feature among the palate's fine, red fruits. The firm, almost bony structure of the wine confirms its promise of bottle ageing. In the meantime, if opening soon, match with food. Points: 91/100
