James Halliday
Named in honour of Giovanni ’Tabelo’ Dal Zotto, father of the pioneer of prosecco in Australia, Otto Dal Zotto. This wine is released every year in time for Christmas. Ah, feel the freshness and vitality of the prosecco grape à la natural. There’s a fineness here, together with fruit complexity that you rarely experience with the grape. The vintage, the acidity, seem to hold the clue. White flowers, green apple, orange peel, citrus. Fruit is finely embroidered across the palate, with a light touch of almond mealiness. Acidity is soft, allowing the fruit beautiful and expressive free rein. Jeni Port Points: 95/100
