For six generations, the Salmon family have been growing grapes with care and passion, on limestone rich soils in the Sancerre region, with 15 hectares in the famous Coteaux Buétons. In Pouilly-sur-Loire, the family grows grapes in the Clos des Criots vineyard in the centre of the village, on marl and limestone soils rich in oyster fossils (Kimmeridgian). Today Domaine Christian Salmon is led by sixth generation Armand Salmon and his wife Marie. The wines are made in stainless steel, with no oak treatment, in a classic, fresh, zesty style reliant on indigenous yeast ferments and extended time on lees.
