The Jourdan family purchased this small Domaine in 1983, and immediately set about replanting with improved varieties and introducing sustainable farming practices. Claude Jourdan is the current generation overseeing the winemaking and the 40 hectares planted on chalky-clay soils. Located in Mèze, near the Bassin de Thau in Languedoc, the vines are refreshed by the moist sea breezes of the Thau lagoon and nearby bird reserve. Félines Jourdan made their first vintage of the old-fashioned southern French white, Picpoul de Pinet, in 1992. In 2019 Claude introduced a second Cuvée Féline, which is a selection of the best parcels from within the Domaine’s plantings of picpoul de pinet.
