Aroma
The nose shows very ripe red and black forest fruits and florals, with feint hints of
spice and oak.
Appearance
Pale ruby with garnet hues.
Palate
The palate reflects the generous and ripe fruit with a delineated minerally note and beautifully balanced acidity giving freshness and vibrancy. Great depth, length and finesse.
Vinification
The wine is fermented and in large open top wooden fermenters (tini) with
indigenous yeasts and no temperature control. The maceration on skins averages
25 days. The wine is matured for 24 months in large oak botti, during which time
the malo-lactic fermentation occurs spontaneously, and a further 12 months in the bottle.
