Lime and lime rind, grapefruit, a spice and lemongrass character, some lavender perfume. It’s a bright and tangy wine, quite some pulpy grapefruit flavours, some citrus peel bitterness, a firm chalkiness to texture, with a gently savoury finish of excellent length. This feels maybe a more traditional style than is usual for Head, and I reckon better for it as the fruit pops and there’s quite some energy here, albeit with a fair amount of textural complexity rolled in. Nice. Points: 93/100
