Aroma
A fragrant and expressive nose showing ripe dark
cherry alongside delicate chocolate notes.
Appearance
Deep crimson in colour, with subtle purple tones.
Palate
Medium-bodied and generous, with layers of dark
berry fruit and rich cassis. Subtle savoury characters
of leafy greens and earth add complexity, while
fine, dusty tannins bring structure to the finish.
Vinification
Made in a bright fruit-driven style, this wine is made using predominantly older French oak barriques which leaves the tannins soft and supple to accentuate the ripe fruit notes. Producing a wine with vibrancy and depth.
Region Notes
The fortunate crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in the early 1600s created what we now know as Cabernet Sauvignon, one of the most widely recoginsed red grape varieties in the world. Coonawarra’s cool climate and famous terra rossa over limestone soils provides ideal growing conditions for premium Cabernet Sauvignon.
