The Kármán line is defined as the limit between Earth’s atmosphere and outer space. Kármán Wines seeks to go beyond the traditional confines in search of something new.
Kármán Wines is a side project of Gómez Cruzado based in Haro, Rioja, initially to produce Garnacha wines from the alto Najerilla zone.
The fruit, mostly old and head-pruned vine, is purchased from growers in the Cárdenas Valley in the villages of Badarán, Cárdenas, Cordovín and Cañas.
The two Tinto Rioja wines (the tempranillo and the Garnacha) are wild fermented in stainless steel tanks and kept on lees for four months rendering a fruit-driven style albeit with medium body and supple yet structured tannins.
