Tasting Notes
Aroma
Lemon blossom, vanilla, tangerine, and pear.
Palate
Lemon curd, apple, and honeydew melon are followed by a pure, focused texture, with
mineral undertones and a juicy yet balanced acidity.
Vinification
Saralee’s Vineyard is approximately 200 planted acres, 72 of Chardonnay, in the heart of the Russian
River AVA. Planted on 8 different soil types – mostly sandy/gravelly of clay loams.
Vintage Notes
The Russian River Valley had a mixed and somewhat challenging growing season in 2022. Limited
rainfall partially replenished soil moisture and an unseasonably warm and sunny February prompted
early budbreak. Record temperatures in late August and September accelerated ripening and brought a
rapid and fast paced harvest. We are seeing a great concentration and flavor in the wines; however, our
Saralee’s Chardonnay harvest began on September 9th.
