Gary Walsh
Big hit of juniper, thyme, cinnamon bark and chamomile tea, mint and pine needles. It’s packed full of fennel and liquorice, plenty of herb and spice, kind of rustic and full-flavored, and in a way like bath tub gin for its overt character and essence-like flavor. Quite rustic and edgy, all cinnamon stick and citrus peel, full throttle business of peel and bark. A bit of a mentholated spirit finish, which leaves it finishing rugged, but gee, it’s a gin of distinct personality. Good. Rustic, mind you. Points: 92/100
