Chris Carpenter named Master Winemaker of the Year 2024 by The Drinks Business. A double feat to be awarded two Masters Medals in the Global Cabernet Sauvignon Masters 2023 to include his Mt. Brave Cabernet Sauvignon 2019. Founded in 2007, the name pays homage to the native Wappo Indians, ‘the brave ones’, who were the original inhabitants of this site. Fruit is 100% hand-picked and placed into small bins, no tractors operate on the mountain due to the steep incline. Produces intense and powerful wines, with blue and black fruit characters, firm structure, and stony minerality. Cooled by the San Pablo bay, the vineyards are much cooler than their valley floor counterparts. The vineyard sits above the fog line, allowing longer ripening and more intense concentration of flavours.
