Campbell Mattinson
If Nick Spencer had been born at a different time he would have been known as a master blender. The seamlessness of this wine is quite remarkable. There’s a lift of bunchy greenness to the mouth-watering core of boysenberry and black cherry, with a complex, smoked, dark choc note threaded within. This is a ‘painted in watercolours’ wine but it’s not dilute; it’s medium weight. For sheer even-handed deliciousness this has it all sorted but there’s more to it than that. Points: 93/100
