Founded in 1880, Ramos Pinto quickly developed a reputation for fine wooded Ports worldwide, which continues today. Today, with owner-partner, Louis Roederer Family Group, Ramos Pinto owns four estates: Quinta do Bom Retiro and Quinta da Urtiga in the heart of the Douro, plus Quinta dos Bons Ares and Quinta de Ervamoira in the Douro Superior. Committed to improving its bond with nature and the environment, Ramos Pinto is implementing organic farming and increasing biodiversity in the vineyard. Ramos Pinto led the first study into Douro varieties, culminating in the selection of the best for both Port and Douro wines.
