Region
Margaret River & Great Southern, Western Australia
Snake + Herring make the best wine possible from the most epic vineyards imaginable. Much like their meticulous approach to vineyard management, every Snake + Herring wine is handled with restraint, treated with sensitivity and imbued with expertise. The wines are made in small batches, allowing for site expression, graceful structure and balance.
Tony “Snake” Davis’s approach to winemaking is honest, passionate and highly skilled with 30 years’ experience. His attitude is irreverent, frank and rebellious. It’s a small, bespoke operation and his wines are textural, expressive and to be enjoyed.
Snake and Herring’s vineyard philosophy reflects their commitment to long-term, sustainable stewardship. With their own managed Margaret River vineyard sites now in organic conversion, they manage their vineyards with an absolute focus on the soil as the building block to vine health. Using regenerative agricultural practices, they drive sustainable grape growing and winemaking outcomes from each site.
