The wine is bright with lifted cherry stone, spice, raspberry and earthy notes.
Palate
Juicy, red fruited with succulent and sappy tannins, this is a different style of medium bodied Grenache. Drink early fresh and often.
Vinification
The fruit was handpicked in late April with half used in 100% whole bunches (carbonic maceration), which allows the fer mentation to occur inside each berry. This technique is used extensively in Beaujolais. The other half of the Grenache, was also handpicked and destemmed onto 10% whole bunches. When dry both par cels were gently pressed and run to seasoned 500L puncheons for 4 months.
Vintage Notes
The 2022 vintage was a low cropping warm year which saw easy ripening of the Grenache in Frankland. Ideal growing conditions and disciplined crop removal allowed the fruit to reach great concentration.
