In 2020 there was a disastrously timed rain event at flowering that drastically impacted yields across the region. To compound this, the ripening happened very quickly, it was warm ... the tiny crop yielded wines of power and density. Like this one. Powerful, concentrated and layered, this gives us a bounty of yellow peach, pineapple, nectarine and red apple skins. The briny acid snakes through it all and serves to stake it in place – a smart counter to the opulence of the fruit. Points: 93/100
