Tasting Notes
Aroma
The cool year lifting fragrant red berry, floral and spice notes.
Appearance
The 2021 Syrah Ros is a pale pink colour.
Palate
Richly textured the raspberry and mulberry characters are com plexed by barrel fermentation, a balancing succulent acidity and fine lingering tannin.
Vinification
The fruit was harvested and quickly destemmed to the press, with 30 minutes on skins to develop a blush of colour and a light tannin structure. We pressed to tank then ran the whole juice to old puncheons for a wild ferment, where it spent 4 months on lees before bottling.
Vintage Notes
The 2021 vintage was cool and wet, with the Syrah showing spice and crisp natural acidity.
