Jane Faulkner
A delightfully composed and complete drink this vintage. It even has a thirst-quenching quality – careful though, this should be savoured. It’s a pale-ish, ruby hue, with heady aromas and flavours of chinotto, blood orange, Campari, porcini mushrooms, fresh herbs and twigs via some whole-bunch fermentation. This is well handled, as it’s not overpowering – more like seasoning. While mid-weighted, there’s flavour aplenty, the tannins textural and satiny, with ultra-refreshing acidity to close. In a word, delicious. Points: 95/100
