Tar & Roses 'The Fog' Nebbiolo 2024

Notes of roasted black plums, licorice and leather lead into a buoyant core packed with dark red berries, black cherries, dried herbs and sweet spice. It flows weightlessly on the palate, and then a tail of tannins (fine and chewy) takes over. It's a lovely Aussie neb that nails the style.  Points:: 92/100

Good territory here. Pure black licorice aromas/flavours roll into redcurrant, sweet spice, earth and decayed red flowers. Itrs dry, savoury, fruit-driven and firm at once. It’s a bit surly at present but flavour, texture and tannin are all excellent. Points: 93/100
