In 2010 Nicola Oberto returned from the finance world in England, to his native La Morra. With winemaker father, Federico and friend Vladimiro Rambaldi, they planted a vineyard in Berri, becoming ‘Three Men of Berri’, Trediberri. The Oberto family have gradually re-claimed their Rocche dell’Annunziata vineyard, previously leased to Renato Ratti. Nicola (Nick), nominated by Antonio Galloni as a ‘Rising Star’ of Barolo, today works with life partner Stefania Drocco, from their winery in Torriglione, replete with concrete tanks and Garbellotto Slavonian oak botti. Trediberri aims to make the best possible, value wines, with minimal intervention, reflecting their respective terroir.
