Tasting Notes

Aroma

Aromas of red apple, fresh raspberries, cherries and strawberry yoghurt.

Appearance

Very pale pastel pink, almost copper in colour.

Palate

Palate is dry, but has great fruit weight and great legnth. There is some complexity on the palate from the lees stirring.

Vinification

The Juice was gently pressed off the skins within3.5 hours of harvest to preserve the vibrant, pale color of the rosé. Fermentation took place in stainless steel to maintain the wine's fresh, crisp profile, while regular lees stirring imparted a creamy texture. This process also helped soften the acidity, resulting in a beautifully rounded mouthful.

Winemakers Comments

Showcasing a sun, which provides the warm temperatures to ripen our grapes, this is the perfect drink for warm weather. The cactus reminds us that our grapes are grown on teh driest state, on the driest continent on earth and this Provence styled rosé is 'dry as a bone'.

A rosé blend of 52% mataro, 30% shiraz and 18% grenache that shows such a pretty light salmon hue in the glass. Aromas of crunchy red apple, raspberry and ruby red grapefruit with hints of citrus blossom, crushed stone, almond paste, distant crushed herbs and a whiff of ozone. Crisp, dry and zesty on the palate with plenty of drive and thirst-slaking enjoyment. All you really need from a rosé, right!? Points: 91/100
