Tasting Notes

Aroma

This pinot gris is refined and fresh, with bright fruit aromas and a lovely floral lift.

Palate

Beautifully textured palate and delicious depth of fruit – with nashi pear and subtle spice. Seamless and refreshing, the wine finishes long and fine.

Vinification

The fruit was handpicked on 28 February and whole bunch pressed. The juice was then cold settled and wild fermented with 80% in stainless steel and 20% in old French puncheons (500L). The wine was estate bottled in July 2025.

Vintage Notes

The 2025 season saw a welcomed return of warm and extended summer conditions, producing full flavoured wines with impeccable intensity and balance.

Our philosophy is to craft single vineyard wines of great purity and character, reflective of our site and the season in which it was grown. It’s the attention and care in the vineyard that is most critical to allowing this expression.

    This delivers fruit flavour with a smidgen of sophistication. It tastes of pears, apples and candied citrus but then it’s also textural, and soft, and wafted ever-so-gently with woodsmoke characters. It works nicely. It’s neither under nor overdone. Points: 91/100
