17% whole bunches and matured in French oak hogsheads (17% new). A light, bright ruby red. Attractive and pure fruited with aromas of vibrant red fruits, pressed flowers and a touch of spice. Equally good on the medium-bodied, energetic and very well-delineated palate. Silky and persistent tannins round out a lovely wine to drink now and over the next five to six years. Points: 95/100
Well, this is pinot noir. It doesn’t muck around. It’s sweet cherry, a bit of stewed strawberry, some pulpy raspberry and a lick of vanilla cream with a dusting of cinnamon. Simple, done well, a pub/bistro/nice wine bar feel to the wine (by the glass). Easy drinking, smooth, supple and decent length. Shrug your shoulders and give in. Goes with anything. Points: 90/100
The first thing I noticed upon opening the bottle was a ripe, confectionery-like aroma that filled the room. After a bit of breathing, red cherry, strawberry, plum and black tea came forth to round out the delightful nose, with some stemminess obvious once you inspected the wine a bit closer. It had a juicy, salivating quality to it that made it very easy to drink up the bright, silky liquid, and it was even a touch better on the second night. Like the Chardonnay, it’s just as nice as a sipper or with food. Points: 93/100
Perfumed, lifted and fragrant aromas of raspberries, dried strawberries, autumn leaves, citrus peel and red currants. The palate is light-bodied with finely tuned tannins, balanced acidity and a juicy, earthy finish. So focused and pure, with high drinkability. Drink now. Screw cap. Points: 93/100
