A blend of mainly pinot noir and chardonnay with a small amount of aligote and gamay. Quite a weighty, flavoursome wine with subtle tropical fruit, lychee and citrus flavours. A simple, appealing wine with a good sugar-and-acid balance.

A toasty version, laced with vanilla, pastry cream and spice notes, this is enlivened by racy acidity that creates a mouthwatering frame for the poached quince, apricot and candied ginger flavors. Drink now through 2022. Points: 90/100

This sparkling point noir/chardonnay from Burgundy has a slight coppery tinge, and appealing complexity of glace stone fruit, citrus and patisserie. It tastes creamy smooth, dry and complete. Points: 91/100
