Hand picked, 10% whole bunches, 12-day open pot fermentation, 11 months' maturation in French oak (12% new). In her second pinot release, Narelle King reveals herself a natural, intuitive pinot maker. Captures the beauty of cool-climate pinot, uniting spicy dark cherries with plum and woody spice and a delightful earthy rhubarb/beetroot complexity. Sinewy in texture, savoury in fine tannins with tell-tale (whole bunch) stemmy herbals – just a pinch – to close. Points: 93/100
